How it all Began
Our Alternative Wellness Center and Boutique has always been a labor of love. It started as an idea between two dreamers, that quickly became a reality! We believe that self-care and inner peace comes in many forms. Some people desire the more intense feel of ink therapy, while others are drawn to a more personal experience with our Health & Wellness Coach, but even if you prefer working in the privacy of your own home, our Boutique has something for all walks of spirituality and self-care. You will find items from traditional spirituality, like Christianity, Buddhism and Judaism, to the less common paths, like Wiccan, Taoism and Crystal Healing. We carry items to support those who are on the path to recovery, as well as items for those in the LGBTQ community.
We are an all-inclusive center and everyone is welcome. We ask that you enter with an open mind and leave all negativity and judgement at the door. Please feel free to come in and browse, schedule a session, or just relax with a friend and enjoy a complimentary cup of tea in our Zen Den!

I am originally from the Midwest, but spent 20 years in Seattle. I own a business there, but in 2020, I began thinking it was time to work remotely and raise my teenage daughter in a safer area, with Midwest values and work ethics.
Like many people, I thought the idea of a place like this was a bit too "hippie" for me. I was not a believer in crystals or holistic healing. I was a big supporter of traditional medicine and medications. For years, one of my best friends, Rebecca, who is Native American, tried to convince me of the powers of crystals and herbs. While I respected her beliefs, they were not for me....that was, until I was visiting a friend in Huntington and was gifted a session for a chakra alignment. I accepted it because I knew I was desperately in need of some changes in my life and was willing to try something new. Deep down though, I truly didn't believe in any of it...until the session began. I left an hour later morphed into a new person and suddenly a huge advocate for alternative wellness!
Once back in Seattle, my daughter and I knew we needed to make some big changes for our mental health, so with the help of a thorough internet search, we began looking for a new place to call home. On Thanksgiving Day, 2020, my daughter, our dog and I landed at the Fort Wayne Airport to begin our new life in Huntington.
Through a lot of trials and tribulations, great friendships and a wonderful former partner, the idea of The Amethyst Lotus grew into something that Huntington has never seen. We always look forward to meeting new people and having our customers turn into friends. Please stop in and see us!
